After bulk demucking and washing, some employments still need a higher purity finish. Fine cleaning targets critical surfaces so wall-wash or charterer criteria can be met.
Wall-wash readiness
Wall-wash testing checks residual contamination on tank surfaces. Passing rates depend on prior demucking quality, chemistry and rinse discipline — not on last-minute polishing alone.
- Compatible detergents / solvents for the coating
- HP/UHP where clinging films remain
- Agreed sampling points and acceptance numbers
